The rejection came fast, sometimes within days, sometimes within minutes. Before a person ever weighed your case, something in the application itself said no.
A rejection that arrives quickly usually means screening software or a rapid recruiter pass, and both work from the same surface: whether the words in your resume match the words in the posting, whether required qualifications are visibly present, whether the format parsed cleanly. These are checkable, fixable properties of a document. They are not a verdict on your career.
Put the posting and your resume side by side. The qualifications the posting names as required should be findable in your resume by searching for them, in roughly their words. If they are present but phrased in your own vocabulary instead of the posting’s, the mismatch may be vocabulary rather than experience. That is among the cheapest problems in a job search to fix.
